Welcome to the new 128 Fitness!
With all of the madness that went down at CrossFit HQ last month we have decided to take a different direction. Yes we are changing the name of the gym, but this does not mean we have to stop doing “CrossFit”. We may even remain affiliated with CrossFit, with new ownership at HQ and seeing the changes his team has already made over the past few weeks it most defiantly looks like it is going in the right direction!
Monday July 6th classes are going to be moving inside, following whatever Governor Baker puts in play for phase 3 re-openings. We will still have a few spots set up outside for members to take advantage of the nice weather and for our members that may still want to stay on the side of caution. Those members will have have the rights to outdoor space first. Please be respectful.
Basically everything that we have been doing outside, will now just be moved indoors. With two extra spot each class. Yes, that means 10 people per class now. That is INCLUDING the few outdoor spaces! So on days where rain may be in the forecast, we will have bonus workout stations set up inside. We are going to remain as spread out as possible, mask will still have to be worn anytime you are out of your designated station. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
There will be a few new rules in play with our indoor access:
- Every member will enter through the front door (even if the garage is open), you will sanitize you’re hands and have your temperature taken. Anyone with a temperature of 99.9 or higher will not be allowed to workout that day.
- Each station is going to be equipped with rowers/bikes, boxes, some bumper plates and each will have a individual sanitizing station. This will reduce the amount of travel in and out of your personal space during class time.
- Stay in your space unless told other wise. Listen to your coach! You guys have been GREAT so far!! But please listen to what they have to say and the directions they are giving you. We are trying to limit to just a few members moving around the gym at a time.
With this move indoors and adding more people to a class, it’s just one little step towards a new normal. We need to respect it. Not abuse it. Baby steps, this is a marathon, not a sprint. We will get there! But in having access inside means more programming, access to the rig and squat racks. Over the next few weeks we WILL be changing the schedule as well! Adding more class times, leading up to a (hopeful) new normal August 1.
